It involves focusing on a single thought, object or feeling and turning your attention inwards. Some people find it hard to drown everything else out so as to quiet the mind, but you don’t need to do that. You can just gently bring your focus back to what you need to and not be so hard on yourself. Be patient. Meditation takes time and practice. You can choose to focus your attention on many things for eg. a candle, a mantra, your breath, an image. You can use a form of guided meditation. There is no set way to follow and it can be adjusted to suit your needs. It can be very relaxing and help to ease stress in your life. Focus in the here and now without reacting and just be mindful. This skill can assist you on your spiritual path and achieve happiness from within. It certainly did for me!
